This week we have a full program for you!
We start with our Energy 101 segment, and E101 contributor, Emily Haggstrom brings us Peter Moore, Board Chairman of Vital for Colorado.
Vital for Colorado was created to engage local businesses, organizations and citizens in discussions about responsible energy development. Instead of an "us" versus "them" mentality, Vital for Colorado brings all these groups together to help everyone understand which energies hold the best opportunity for Colorado. Rather than engage in high-stakes energy battles, Vital for Colorado encourages the view that sensible energy development can provide opportunities and economic security for all.
Vital started as part of a Chamber of Commerce trade mission in June of 2013 as a grass roots effort as reflected by their Mission Statement:
To promote the benefits of energy production in Colorado, highlight energy resource extraction as a critical part of Colorado’s state economy, and support a rational, well-regulated, and competitive regulatory environment which allows energy production in the state to thrive responsibly.
Thus far, more than two thousand members of Vital for Colorado have signed the pledge to support responsible oil and natural gas development, and oppose energy bans and patchwork regulations.
Learn more in our Energy 101 segment, and watch the video outlining the REMI Model, which Emily and Peter talked about in the interview: Our Energy 101 segment is followed by an interview with Nancy Hystera, Community Relations Manager for the Barnes & Noble, Colorado Boulevard Location. She'll tell us how she promotes both nationally known, and local authors through various area events.
We also speak with Rob Meilen, CIO of Hunter Douglas and President of the Colorado Chapter of SIM (Society for Information Management). We'll talk about the importance of bringing talented technology professionals to Colorado, and about the upcoming SIMposium to be held in Denver in November of this year.
It's a truly collaborative program.
Listen Saturday at 10:00 AM on KNUS 710 – Please let us know what you think of our program, either by commenting here or on Facebook at Connect & Collaborate with ICOSA or join the discussion on Twitter @ICOSAMagazine.
