Continuing our series with the Colorado Workforce Development Council, this week we take a closer look at the Colorado Innovation Network's 2015 Innovation Report. The report is a detailed view of Colorado's talent landscape including the trends and challenges that will impact our state and the coming workforce.
Stephanie Veck, Director of the Colorado Workforce Development Council joins us as co-host, and introduces us to Anna Ewing, Executive Director of Colorado Innovation Network (COIN) and Laura Skladzinski, PwC Advisory Manager and Report Author.
One, critical perspective is on the state's educational models - including non-traditional education and STEM focus. The report also considers the impact of changing technology and automation on the workforce as well as training concerns.

Stay with us for our Brave Leader interview with Steffan Tubbs host of Colorado's Morning News on KOA. In addition to reporting the news, Steffan is the producer of documentary films and was nominated by fellow Brave Leader, Walker Stapleton for his work telling the important stories of our United States Veterans.
He is preparing to launch his latest film Acronym: The Cross Generational Battle with PTSD which will come out on Veteran's Day, November 11th. This documentary is an in-depth look at Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and it's impact on the lives of generations of veterans. After World War II, the men who came home were said to suffer from "nerves", after Vietnam they referred to it as "shell shock". Today we know it is the stress of surviving a war zone. Remarkably, the experience is much the same for the now elderly men, as it is for young men and women who have returned from our most recent war zones.
Watch the trailer for Acronym at MountainTM.com and be sure to hear Steffan Tubbs' Brave Leader story Saturday at 1:00 PM on 710 KNUS - Please let us know what you think of our program, either by commenting here or on our Colorado Business Roundtable Facebook page, or join the discussion on Twitter @ColoradoBRT
