Jim Salestrom, a renowned singer, song writer and guitarist who has toured all over the world and met the most incredible people. Jim is our host today introducing us to his good friend, Hank Kashiwa.
Hank Kashiwa is a champion ski racer at the 1969 National Ski Championship, and on the U.S. team at 1970 World Championships. In 1972 he was on the U.S. Olympic team at the winter games in Sapporo, Japan.
Hank went on to become an expert commentator on ski racing and a correspondent on national television.
We will talk about his successes, and his endeavor to found Volant Ski Corporation, manufacturing the "shaped" ski known for carving turns.
