Imagine a place where makers gather to show what they've created, share ideas and inspire new ones. It would look like the Denver Mini Maker Faire. The event is June 11th and 12th at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, where you can see what others are working on, and get access to the thinkers, designers and makers in one hotbed of creative community fun.
Elise VanDyne, Founder and Executive Director of the Colorado Maker Hub joins us in studio to tell us all about the great inspiration you'll find at the Maker Faire. Elise is also excited to represent Colorado at the White House in Washington, D.C. for the 2016 National Week of Making (June 17-23)
We will also talk with Zheghua Yang, also known as Z, the founder and owner of Serenity Forge, a Boulder-based video game design company. He will present a new game concept which is a musical symphony experience, in which kids can wave their hands to draw lines, leaves or raindrops that create music. Well, you'll just have to go see it and try it out.
Jalali Hartman is a serial entrepreneur and Chief Human for his company, Robauto. Jalali creates social robots which help children on the autism spectrum to break down barriers and communicate better.
