The Colorado Commission on Affordable Healthcare was appointed by Governor Hickenlooper to study the healthcare spectrum to determine how the state might reduce costs.
Bill Lindsay, Planning Committee Chair along with commission members, Elisabeth Arenales and Dr. Jeffrey Cain, will share their findings, including the impact of freestanding emergency rooms, increasing hospital rates, increased technology, pharmaceutical costs and more. Ms. Arenales is an attorney who heads the Center of Law and Policy, and is a health care policy expert. Dr. Jeffrey Cain is a practicing physician who also teaches at the Colorado Medical School in Primary Care.
