December 6 – Jeff Krebbs & Lauren Beede – Make-A-Wish Colorado
Make-A-Wish Colorado helps fulfill the wishes of kids who face life-threatening medical conditions. Jeff and Lauren introduce us to three corporate sponsors that employ effective ways to raise money and involve their employees in wish-granting. We’ll talk with Charles Lameroux from Subaru, Jeff Mayger from Dave & Busters and Greg Condon of Macy’s about their fundraising campaigns.
December 7 – Stephanie Veck – Workforce Development
Stephanie Veck, Director of the Colorado Workforce Development Council, interviews Pat Reedy, Senior Adviser to Ellen Golombek, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. They will discuss Pat's special detail to Colorado leading a project to inventory talent development assets and help create streamlined access to the programs, tools and resources that are available to individuals and businesses to design their own unique path to success.
December 8 – Edgar Johansson – Aerospace Advocate
Edgar Johansson, COBRT Aerospace Advocate, joins us to discuss progress in Colorado’s aerospace industry and talk with major players in the aerospace industry. Dr. Frank Eparvier is a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Colorado's Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics in Boulder. He’ll talk about the recent GOES R launch and the EXIS instrument. Senator Cory Gardner joins us to discuss space weather legislation as well as what the new administration may mean for space.
December 9 – Kristen Muzzy – Leading2Lean
Kristen Muzzy, Executive Vice President of Business Development for Leading2Lean, is an advocate for promoting manufacturing in Colorado and nationwide. She’ll introduce us to Jo O’Brien, Program Director for the Colorado Community College System in Advanced Manufacturing. We will discuss State Commitment to Establishing Talent for Manufacturing, in particular, what the state is doing to help fill the workforce skills gap and draw more talent to fill manufacturing jobs that fuel our economic growth.
