In March, Boulder tech community thought leaders met with the Björn Lyrvall, Swedish Ambassador to the United States. The meeting covered the many advantages of the Colorado start-up ecosystem for foreign and domestic entrepreneurs.
The Ambassador was impressed by the level of start-up activity and opportunity for a wide range of tech sectors, and he pointed out similarities to the Stockholm tech scene. In fact, he indicated that he would convey the opportunities in Colorado to Swedish technology companies looking to launch operations in the U.S. The Ambassador later strolled along Pearl Street and visited Swedish outdoor gear company Fjällräven before visiting the Nordic Studies program at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He was given a warm welcome by over 60 deans, professors and students.
