South Metro Denver Chamber (SMDC) and Colorado Business Roundtable (COBRT) partnered in travel to Washington, D.C. the first week of November. The "D.C. Fly-In" had a two-fold mission: to educate and empower members and to represent the voice of the South Metro Denver business community and the Colorado business community-at-large at the Capitol.
The Chamber leads an annual legislative tour that included:
- Tour the White House
- Senior White House Buisness Council discussions on Infrastructure, International Trade, Department of Defense and Energy
- Department of Energy briefings on Renewable Energy, Transportation and Energy Policy
A perennial highlight of the fly-in is when attendees get to meet with Colorado delegates on their D.C. turf. The 2015 trip proved unprecedented in that ALL NINE of the delegates were available to meet. We cannot thank these officials enough for their time and insights.
