We are making some changes to Driving Force Radio - now our show is called Connect and Collaborate with ICOSA.We'll bring you the same great content and features like Energy 101 and Community Matters as well as great conversations with today's leaders. What is changing is our focus. We can do more than highlight the leaders that drive change, we want to put more emphasis on empowering those leaders to lead. Each and every one. So we're so pleased to kick off our re-branding with a Community Matters segment, joined by our co-host Cristin Tarr of Business Service Corps. This week, she brings us our guest, Alex West of CorpsGiving.
As program director of CorpsGiving, Alex West says she gets to spend her time making her living, in the business of doing good to do well. Corps Giving helps companies align their giving with their business mission. It's how Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability go together.
Many companies are wary of tying their corporate giving programs to the bottom line because they don't know how to measure the results. That's why companies need an organization like CorpsGiving to manage it for them. Alex says decisions should be made from the top down, by surveying your employee base to learn what they are interested in, how they feel prideful of their company by participating -- it must be measured to be managed and it must show a financial value for the company to be interested.
