The Democrat discussed a range of issues in a telephone interview with Colorado Politics, including what kind of a mandate he believes voters handed him last week when he defeated Republican Walker Stapleton. 

Colorado auto dealers will have to sell vehicles that meet more stringent emission standards beginning in 2022, thanks to a unanimous decision made Friday by the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission. After months of debate and discussion about clean air and the role of unelected government boards, the decision was resounding in its final form. Colorado will join 12 states and the District of Columbia in adopting California's rules for low-emissions vehicles, making the new cards sold in this state have to meet a high standard than the federal government requires and putting the state in place to reduce carbon-dioxide emission significantly in the next decade. 

Facebook targeted Denver more than three years ago for its next office because of its wealth of network talent - people who had vast experience in dealing with high amounts of internet traffic to handle the social network's 2.6 billion users worldwide. It started building its Denver team in late 2015 and this week announced the official opening of its permanent office downtown at 1900 16th St. Employees started working out of the 23,663 square foot space on the seventh floor of the building on Monday, Nov. 12. The new space was celebrated with a ribbon cutting, mimosas and a doughnut cake.
